with other studies showing the notable increase of many other birth defects, a recent paper by researchers at the Karolinska
Institute in Sweden found that the risk of bipolar disorder in children increased as the age of the father increased too,
particularly in children born to men over 50. .
What
about the difficulty of simply getting pregnant? It used to be that infertility was also considered to be the fault of the

age had as much effect as the mother's as it relates to rates of pregnancy and miscarriage — the older either parent
was, the less likely they were to get pregnant, more likely to miscarry and have children with birth defects. Getting pregnant also takes much longer when either partner
is 5 years older or more. Sorry guys, I'm just the messenger. Men may continue to fantasize about the older man younger woman
scenario but the facts don't support that union for procreation. Although “fresh” sperm is made about every 90
days even from an older man, the cells that make sperm are subject to increasing DNA mutations as men age, affecting the quality
of the sperm they produce. And those mutations lead to more birth defects and medical problems. In another study in Sweden, published in the Archives of General Psychiatry, researchers found that
risk of developing bipolar disorder began to increase in children born to older men around age 40. And it increases substantially
as they age which suggests a strong genetic component.

or less in age difference), are more likely to conceive faster.... within a year, compared with couples where the men are
five years or older than the woman. Yes,

Many young women love to
be with a man of means and power because they want their own success and marrying a famous or powerful man can help
them achieve that goal. These relationships last as long as the women need the older man's connections and
money. There have been a few of these marriages that last, like Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta Jones, but
the vast majority are transient. The wealthy man moves on to younger, greener pastures or the woman gets what she
wanted from his fame or influence. No matter what you want to believe, recognize that they're in it for the perks. So, just don't try to fool yourself. Accept it for what it is. That way, both
partners are getting what they want from the relationship.
Older men that are not rich and famous can also attract young women, but these women tend to be looking
more for a father substitute, or aren't able to attract a younger man so they are willing to settle for an older
man. Women who have been abused by a younger man can also turn to an
older man that represents a father-figure for protection. Some younger women
seek older men because they are still immature (it's natural, this isn't a slam) but being with an older man makes
them feel more sophisticated and mature beyond their years. They don't realize that these traits can only come with time.

Some can survive, but most will fizzle and when it happens most men will find someone closer to their own age if they want
